That God speaks in Silence is my belief and through silence is how I attempt to keep in touch with the Creator. Right along with this concept is that Life is a Village. Jesus’ teachings, to me, are the Devine example of this and given for us to follow.
Let me start with the village. I grew up in Northern Minnesota in a small town with parents who were school teachers. Back then, in the 30’s and now, teachers are an example of those who give back to the community. I feel fortunate to be able to remember my parents as living a life of service to others and I feel blessed by experiencing the rich, fullness of their lives.
At 83 years of age I am still preparing myself for the future. My goal is to live out my days in my Corolla home, remaining active with those living around me. I do not wish to be a burden on my four siblings some 300 miles away, so I prepare for my Eventual exit from this life. Believing that life is a village helps me plan for the day when I will not be able to drive a car, care for my dogs and others, or my property. Working to improve, simplify and understand, I recently changed my TV viewing habits and happened on the OWN network channel. Oprah Winfrey was interviewing Eckhart Tolle who describes to me a way to a deeper dimension of mind and understanding. His life lessons and teachings help me realize how God speaks to us in our silence and meditation.
