Friday, March 2

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when He had given
thanks, He broke it and gave it to His disciples, saying, “Take it; this is
my body.”  (Mark 14: 22)
It seems we are always “eating” at All Saints, whether it be food or
fellowship or outreach. Are we not filled and full and sometimes,
satiated and yet, have we given thanks?

“Take it; this is my body.” My God, my God it IS your broken body,
given for us, that we feast upon every time we come for  Commun-
ion. Are we not filled and full and satiated with your grace and good-
ness? Do we not go forth from this place filled with the Spirit? Are we
not sent into this broken world to BE your hands and feet and heart
and breath? Are we, am I, BREAD for the world? If we are not bread
for this broken world, then we have not lived into what Christ said,
“Take it; this is my body.”

Give thanks! Take His body into the world.
