Monday, March 12

Then everyone deserted Him and fled.  A young man, wearing nothing
but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, he
fled naked, leaving his garment behind.   (Mark 14: 50-52)

Deserted! Alone! All left Him and ran, except the young man who
followed, clothed only in his linen tunic and that was snatched off his
body, and he fled naked. Alone! Naked! Vulnerable! Godforsaken!

There are times like that in our lives. Enter into that “empty” space
and ponder what it is the spirit seeks from us in those alone and
naked times. Perhaps, that is when we really come to grips about
what we really believe and how we want to live the rest of our life.
Perhaps, being alone and naked is a gift from God.

Give thanks! Be vulnerable for Christ’s sake.
